"I would have her distinguished by Christ-like charity and the saving grace of a sense of humor" MMJ
"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time." T. S. Elliot
Full Circle is an ongoing circle of sisters united in the spirit of mission expanded and amplified beyond cloister walls. The women who are members of Full Circle brought to Maryknoll a commitment of service to those in need, particularly the poor.
Bonded into community and imprinted forever with the fun-loving, pioneering spirit of Mollie Rogers, we continued our call beyond Maryknoll’s doors. Spreading into a variety of lifestyles, occupations, local ministries, and personal vows, we are planting seeds of global consciousness and intimate human concern across the country and into the next generation.
Once a year we gather at the original well to nourish each other and those who formed us. Our first gathering was at Maryknoll in 1983. Three times a year, our newsletter puts into words our bonds, affection, needs, concerns, and accomplishments and brings news of events at the Center of concentrated mission in which we remain rooted. These activities are coordinated by a dedicated, kind, high-spirited committee of Full Circle members and representative Maryknoll Sisters who meet quarterly and laugh often.
As we celebrate our own multiple commitments and diverse expressions of faith, we are also grateful to our Maryknoll sisters and brothers who maintain a single-minded focus on mission and bear public witness to the generosity of God’s love and the richness of a simplified life. Together, we form a large circle of influence with which all those whom we encounter can identify, in which all who belong can find home. Mef
